Terms of Service

Plain-language summary. Use ClipDrama for your own personal entertainment. Don't try to break it, abuse it, scrape it, or use it to infringe other people's rights. We aggregate content from third parties and link to public X posts; we are not the original publisher of that content. Indonesian law applies.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you") and the ClipDrama team, currently organised as a group of individual contributors based in Indonesia and operating as ClipDrama ("ClipDrama", "we"), governing your use of the ClipDrama Android application, the website at clipdrama.id and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, opening or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you access the Service from Indonesia, you confirm that you are at least 21 years old, or are married, or are otherwise no longer under guardianship under Article 330 of the Indonesian Civil Code. If you are below the applicable threshold where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You sign in through a supported identity provider (currently Google) handled by Firebase Authentication.
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
You may close your account at any time. See Account & Data Deletion.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or that is used to abuse the Service.

4. What the Service is, and what it isn't

ClipDrama provides two features:

Drama discovery. We aggregate metadata and streaming URLs from licensed short-form drama providers. We do not host the drama videos. Streaming and content rights belong to the original provider, and availability of a title can change without notice when the upstream provider removes or restricts it.
X clip saver. When you submit a public X (Twitter) post URL that contains video, the Service stores a reference and a copy of the video so you can replay it inside the app. This feature is intended only for public posts. We do not bypass age gates, login walls, private accounts, restricted media, or geographic blocks. You are responsible for ensuring that any URL you submit is one you are permitted to save under X's terms and the original poster's rights.

4A. User-Generated Saves (X clip saver — additional terms)

The X clip saver feature is provided as a personal time-shifting tool, analogous to bookmarking. The following rules apply to every save:

Personal use only. A saved clip may be replayed only by the user account that saved it, inside the ClipDrama app. We grant no licence to download, re-host, redistribute, broadcast, or commercially exploit a saved clip outside the app.
No licence transferred. ClipDrama does not acquire or claim any copyright, trademark, publicity right, or moral right in a saved clip. All rights remain with the original poster of the X post and any other rights holders.
Your representations. By submitting a URL to the saver, you represent that (a) the X post is public at the moment of submission, (b) you are not subject to a restriction (court order, employer policy, X account suspension) that would prohibit you from accessing or saving the post, and (c) you will not use the saved clip to harass, defame, sexualise, or otherwise harm the person depicted.
Original-poster takedown — fast lane. If you are the original poster of an X post that another ClipDrama user has saved, you can request immediate removal of every copy of that clip across all ClipDrama accounts by emailing support@clipdrama.id with the original X post URL and any one of: a screenshot of your X profile showing the same handle, a DM from your X handle confirming the request, or the clip ID copied from inside ClipDrama. We aim to remove the clip within 7 business days of a verified request. This is separate from, and in addition to, the formal copyright procedure in section 7.
Automatic removal on source removal. If the original X post is deleted, made private, or removed by X for policy reasons, we will treat that as a signal to remove the corresponding ClipDrama copies on a best-effort schedule.
X Terms. Your submission and our handling are also subject to the X Terms of Service. We do not act as a substitute for X's own permissions or licensing programs. If X notifies us that a specific use is impermissible, we will comply.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the Service, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Scrape, crawl, or programmatically harvest the Service's API or content beyond what is necessary to use the Android app as intended.
Submit content you do not have the right to save, or content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative of minors, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
Use the Service to infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, our infrastructure, or our admin endpoints.
Use the Service to send spam, malware, or to overload our systems with abnormal request volumes.

6. Intellectual property

The ClipDrama app, the clipdrama.id website, the catalog organisation, the user interface, the brand and any code we author are owned by the ClipDrama team and protected by Indonesian and international copyright law. Drama content delivered through the Service belongs to the upstream provider or its licensors; public X content belongs to the original posters. We claim no ownership over either category.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. Copyright complaints (takedown)

If you believe that content surfaced through the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@clipdrama.id including:

Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
The exact location in the Service (drama ID, episode number, or saved clip ID, plus a screenshot if possible).
Your full name, postal address, email and phone.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
Your signature (electronic acceptable).

We will review verified notices and act within a reasonable time, typically within 7 business days. Repeated infringers will be terminated.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party platforms, including Google (Firebase), Neon (Postgres), our upstream drama providers, and X. Your use of the Service is also subject to those parties' applicable terms. We are not responsible for outages, content decisions or policy changes made by third parties.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every possible attack, or that any specific drama title will remain available. To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, ClipDrama and the ClipDrama team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or IDR 1,000,000 (one million rupiah), whichever is greater. The Service is currently offered free of charge.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold ClipDrama and the ClipDrama team harmless from any claim, demand or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit in violation of a third party's rights.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via the Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.

13. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by email first. Any unresolved dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Indonesia. This clause does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer-protection right available under your local law.
